Ice Skate Rentals
Bear Ice Ponds
Open Daily: 10am – 10pm

The Ice Ponds will be lighted for ice skating each night from dusk until 10:00pm
Location: Bear River Greenway off Bear River Drive, adjacent to the BEAR Community Center building.
Natural Skating Conditions: 10 inches fair to good ice skating conditions. The ice is rough in spots.
Weather permitting: A minimum of 12 inches of ice is required for skating. Ice thickness is checked and maintained by the Evanston Parks Department.
Rent Ice Skates at the Rec Center:
Mon – Fri: 5:00am – 8:00pm
Sa – Sun: 10:00am – 5:00pm
Fee: $5 per pair/per day – return by 4pm the next day.
Cross Country Ski/Snow Shoe Rentals
Full day – $15
Weekend – $20
