Bear Community Center
The Bear Community Center is a multi-purpose building available for group, family, and nonprofit community events. This beautiful building overlooks the ice ponds and offers a rustic interior, with features such as:
- Clean restrooms
- Multi-purpose room that seats up to 80
- Picnic pavilion for an additional $25
- River rock fireplace
- Serving and warming kitchen
- Pine slab serving counter
- WiFi access
Rental Fees
Private Groups
(Family, business, groups, etc.)
User Fee: $125 Per day includes lobby, meeting room, serving kitchen restrooms, and WiFi.
Cleaning and damage deposit: Minimum $150 (local check or cash)
Shelter reservation fee: Separate charge $25 with building reservation only
Alcohol permit fee: $25
Private Non-Profit Groups
(Scouts, church groups, service groups etc.)
User Fee: $75 Per day includes lobby, meeting room, serving kitchen restrooms, and WiFi.
Cleaning and damage deposit: Minimum $150 (local check or cash)
Shelter reservation fee: Separate charge of $25 with building reservation only.
Alcohol permit fee: $20
Public Non-Profit Groups
(Public agencies, city, county, school district, etc.)
User Fee: No charge per day. Includes lobby, meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, and WiFi.
Cleaning and damage deposit: Minimum $150 as determined by Director.
Shelter Reservation Fee: No charge
Alcohol Permit: $20 and deposit, if required.
Public Non-Profit Groups (Public agencies, school district, county, state, federal government)
Building use that is “Outside the Agency Scope of Services” as determined by the Director
User Fee: $50 per day. Includes lobby, meeting room, serving kitchen, restrooms, and WiFi.
Cleaning and damage deposit: Minimum $150 (local check or cash).
Shelter reservation fee: Separate charge of $25 with building reservation only.
Alcohol permit: $20 and deposit, if required.
Shelter Reservation Only
$45 for groups 0-25; $40 for groups 26-75; $45 for groups 76-100.
Bear Meadows
With approximately 6 acres of open space, this area is Evanston’s Central Park.
Fee: $50 – non-profit; $75 – for profit
